In Remembrance

Alva Lee Phillips proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was awarded the Purple Heart. After his service, he made his home in Crockett, Texas, where he worked in maintenance at Crockett State School. To his family, he was much more than a veteran. He was Paw-Paw, a man deeply loved and remembered. I will always be proud to call him my grandfather and my hero.
