When is Hero Field open?
Hero Field is open to the public November 7–15, 2026, from sunup to sundown each day on the museum grounds. The opening dedication ceremony is Saturday, November 7 at 11 AM.
Can I bring a group or school field trip?
Yes — groups are strongly encouraged. School field trips, scout troops, civic clubs, church groups, sports teams, and families are all welcome to visit during open hours (sunup to sundown). Come walk the field, honor the dedications, and share the stories together.
Who can I buy a flag for?
Anyone you want to honor — veterans and active-duty service members, first responders, community heroes, family members, friends, and loved ones. If they matter to you, they belong in the field.
What does a flag dedication include?
For $49, your dedication includes an American flag in Hero Field with a personalized name card. You can also opt in for a Virtual Field tribute page where friends and family can leave messages (reviewed before posting).
How can I buy a flag?
Use Purchase a Flag on this site. You’ll enter your dedication details, upload an optional photo, and choose payment. Already ordered? Manage your dedications in My Flags.
How can my business or organization sponsor Hero Field?
Choose a level on Sponsor the Field. Sponsorships start at $250 and include public recognition plus complimentary flag dedications you can keep for your own heroes, gift to others, or donate for families who need help. At $1,000 and above, sponsors may also have a tent at the field for their organization or business, November 7–15, sunup to sundown. Checkout is online; invoices are available for larger commitments.
What’s the difference between buying a flag and sponsoring?
Purchase a Flag ($49) is for one dedication with a name card in the field. Sponsor the Field is for businesses and organizations that want event recognition and a package of free flag dedications. Many sponsors do both.
How do I pay?
Pay securely online by card through Stripe, or choose pay-by-check and mail your payment with your order reference. Pending orders can also be finished later from My Flags.
Can we keep the flags?
Yes. Flag pick-up begins Sunday, November 15th in the afternoon on the museum grounds. You’re welcome to take your flag home or replant it for next year.
